YAMAHA is looking to make great strides this year with the newest highlight of its AT scooter line, the Mio Aerox 155. The two-wheeler was recently launched at the Yamaha Grand Prix 8 in Cebu City.

In Manila, eager owners have already reserved and bought most of the first batch of Aerox units, which has an SRP of P99,800. The bike features Yamaha’s new 155cc Blue Core fuel-injected engine—the most powerful in the Mio scooter line—capable of 15hp and 14Nm. Apart from the Mio Aerox 155, the new Mio Soul i125, Mio i125, and the Yamaha Nmax also utilize the Blue Core engine. What's more, its 4.6L fuel tank gives it more range than any of the previous Yamaha Mio models

Besides the fresh, sporty design, the Aerox comes equipped with a fully-digital LCD panel which the rider can interact with, convenient seat and fuel lid buttons, an electric socket and compartment for charging devices, and a 25L under-seat compartment which can fit a full-face helmet plus other gear, eliminating the need for an additional compartment box.

The Aerox comes in three color schemes: Race Blu, Vibrant Orange, and Black Raven.

We witnessed the model's performance firsthand via a demonstration during the event's final, 15-lap showdown. After the awarding of the participants, the Yamaha Grand Prix culminated in a riders’ night at the Danasan Eco Park Adventure in the neighbouring city of Danao.

Being one of the most powerful AT scooters in the market today with its 155cc Blue Core engine, Yamaha’s Mio Aerox 155 has an ideal engine-to-size ratio, providing a powerful punch in a relatively compact, stylish, and feature-rich package. Will you be checking it out?
